Men's Tennis (Discontinued)

Tennis Teams Come Up Just Short Against Southern Indiana

On Saturday, Lindenwood's tennis teams traveled to Evansville, Ind. to play against the University of Southern Indiana. Both teams fell just short of coming out on top, as the women lost 5-4 and the men lost to the No. 28 ranked team 6-3.
 
Competing for the Lady Lions was Clara Piccamiglio, who battled back to win, despite falling 6-0 in the first set. Paccamiglio went on to win the next two sets. Mariona Pinol also bounced back after a first set loss. Diana Milan didn't lose her first set on the way to her 6-3, 6-3 victory. Piccamiglio and Gloria Marras teamed together to give the Lady Lions their only doubles victory, 8-4.
 
For the men, Filip Bogic scored a victory after winning 6-4, 6-4. Naoufal El Idrissi scored the Lions another victory by his Southern Indiana opponent 6-4, 7-6. El Idrissi and Slobodan Bavrlic teamed up to give Lindenwood an 8-6 doubles victory.
 
Coming up next for the Lindenwood tennis teams is a trip to Kansas City, Mo. to compete against Rockhurst University on February 28th.
