The Lindenwood men's volleyball team returned to .500 on the season after defeating Charleston on Tuesday night at Hyland Arena by scores of 25-18, 25-16, and 25-15.
Lindenwood hit .284 against the first-year Charleston program, and it held the Golden Eagles to a negative hitting percentage. The Lions had 14 more kills, seven more service aces, three more digs, and four more blocks in the win.
Colin Hackworth led the Lions with eight kills and a .571 hitting percentage.
Thomas Cruz and
Kyle Overby both finished with six kills, and
Nathan Van Dellen had four.
Connor Metcalfe led the team with 18 assists, five digs, and three service aces. Cruz and Hackworth both had three blocks, and Hackworth had a team-high 10 points.
Lindenwood improves to 6-6 on the year. The Lions continue their short non-conference stretch on Thursday with a road match at USC.
