Lindenwood's No. 3 women's lacrosse team defeated Adams State 20-4. The win gives Lindenwood its seventh consecutive victory. The Lady Lions currently lead the RMAC with a 7-0 record and are 3-0 in RMAC play.
Allison Hurley and
Sophie Buelow led the offensive attack for Lindenwood, scoring four goals each.
Lindenwood set the tone early, scoring two goals in the first two minutes. Lindenwood would go on to score ten more goals before Adams State could get on the board just before halftime. Lindenwood went into halftime with a 12-1 lead. Buelow,
Melissa Menchella, and
Allison Hurley all had two goals in the first half. The Lady Lions defense was stifling, causing Adams State to turn the ball over 11 times in the first half.
The second half was more of the same, with Lindenwood scoring eight goals to Adams State's three. Hurley added two more goals in the second half.
Morgan Judd added two goals of her own to help seal a Lindenwood victory.
Lindenwood outshot Adams State 35-8 throughout the game. Lindenwood also went 12-12 on clearing attempts.
Delaney Solomon got her second victory of the season, after getting three saves in the Lady Lions victory. Lindenwood dominated in draw controls, bringing in 20, compared to Adams State's six.
The Lady Lions look to continue the winning streak when they travel to Allendale, Mich. to play non-conference opponent Grand Valley State University.
