Lindenwood's men's tennis team hosted UMSL for a dual on Wednesday, but eventually fell in a closely fought competition 6-3. Lindenwood won the top three singles matches, but it was not enough.
The first Lion to get a win was
Naoufal El Idrissi, winning convincingly 6-2, 6-0.
Yoshikazu Ysa followed El Idrissi with a win of his own, winning his match 6-1, 6-3.
Filip Bogic won the third consecutive match for Lindenwood by winning 6-4, 6-1. The Lions battled in the doubles competitions, but fell just short, losing 9-7 in two of the three doubles matches.
With the loss, the men's record falls to 4-11. Coming up next for the Lions is an MIAA dual against Washburn University on April 17th.
