Lindenwood's tennis teams had never won a dual in the MIAA Tournament, but that changed when Lindenwood beat Emporia State in the first round. Four days after losing 5-4 to Emporia State Lindenwood came back and won in the first round of the MIAA Tournament. Lindenwood would lose to Northwest Missouri State in the second round 5-0.
Against Emporia State, they proved that their doubles teams are very strong, sweeping Lindenwood, 3-0. Lindenwood lost the first match, but would turn it around, winning the next five singles matches to go on to win. Starting off for Lindenwood was
Nicholas Bruenger, pulling off a clutch 6-4 victory in the third set.
Johannes Rabenhorst won in straight sets.
Naoufal El Idrissi continued the streak, followed by
Yoshikazu Ysa winning 6-3, 6-1. Lindenwood's No. 1
Filip Bogic took care of business in the No. 1 matchup, winning 6-2, 6-1.
Lindenwood didn't close the season out the way it had hoped, losing to Norwest Missouri 5-0, before leaving the final four matches unfinished. Last time Lindenwood's men's team played Northwest Missouri, they lost 6-3.
The men's total record is 6-14 and 1-4 in conference play. The Lions first MIAA Tournament win is a sign of great things to come as Lindenwood will now close out its tennis season and get ready for the upcoming season. Seniors
