Series Notes:
- The Lindenwood women's hockey team prepares to open the CHA portion of its 2016-17 schedule with a two-game series against the Syracuse Orange on October 28-29. Both games will be played at the Tennity Ice Pavilion in Syracuse, N.Y. Puck drop is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. ET on October 28 and 3:00 p.m. ET on October 29.
- Lindenwood and Syracuse met four times during conference action last season, with the Orange winning the season series 3-0-1. The Lady Lions and Orange skated to a 1-1 tie on November 7, 2015 in Wentzville, Mo.
Shannon Morris-Reade tallied a late third period goal to even the score at one goal a piece. Syracuse owns the advantage in the all-time series 15-3-2 dating back to the 2012 season.
- Syracuse enters the weekend series with a record of 0-4-2, and have yet to play a conference game. Most recently, the Orange went 0-1-1 during a home-and-home non-conference series with the Colgate Raiders. Syracuse is led offensively by the duo of Stephanie Grossi and Alysha Burriss, who have each totaled three points. Abbey Miller has started five games between the pipes for the Orange for a .917 save percentage and a 1.95 GAA
Lindenwood Notes:
- During the two-game exhibition series with the Minnesota Whitecaps on Oct. 15-16,
Kirsten Martin and
Cierra Paisley each notched two goals.
- On Oct. 16, Lindenwood outshot the Minnesota Whitecaps by a total of 35-30.
Taylor Girard registered a team-high five shots. The Lady Lions recorded a game-high 17 shots in the third period.
- Martin scored the first goal of her collegiate career on October 8 versus Northeastern. Martin's first goal and point as a Lady Lion came in the second period while on the power play.
- Paisley and
Britannia Gillanders were credited with the assists on Martin's power-play goal. For Paisley, the assist was the first point of her Lindenwood career.
- Following her power-play goal, Martin became the third Lady Lion to score her first-career goal through Lindenwood's first four games this season. On October 1 at Minnesota,
Corbin Welsh and Girard also scored for the first time in a Lindenwood uniform.

Sarah Bobrowski registered a team-high seven shots against Northeastern on October 8. Bobrowski has led the Lady Lions in shots in two games this season.

Emma Hare is currently winning 63.2% of her faceoffs this season. Hare has won 12 of her 19 faceoffs thus far.

Jolene deBruyn made her second start of the season on October 7 against Northeastern. deBruyn made a season-high 29 saves, including 15 saves during the third period.
- On October 8,
Morgan Skinner made her second-career start and home debut against Northeastern. Skinner made 12 saves in each of the last two periods, and ended the game with a career-high 32 saves.

Courtney Ganske,
Carla Goodwin, and
Tae Otte have each registered a team-leading eight blocked shots this season. Otte led the team in blocked shots last season, totaling 107 blocks over her 37 games played. Goodwin had a season-high five blocks on Sept. 30.
