The Lindenwood men's basketball team outshot the Truman Bulldogs on Wednesday night at Hyland Arena, and it won its 10th straight home opener. The Lions defeated Truman by a 94-83 score to move to 3-0 on the season.

Lindenwood's point total was the most against a NCAA Division II team since 2013, and the highest total during the
Lance Randall era. The Lions shot 55.2 percent from the field and 56 percent from three-point range. The Bulldogs, who came into the game averaging 87.0 points, shot 51 percent from the field and 55 percent from three-point range. Lindenwood finished with 14 three-pointers, three more than Truman, and tying for the fourth-most in program history.

Both teams started slow offensively, and Truman led 21-20 with eight minutes left in the first half. Both offenses heated up after that, starting with Lindenwood as it went on a 15-6 run to go up by eight points at 35-27. The Bulldogs answered though, outscoring the Lions 18-4 in the final 3:25 of the half, including a three-point at the buzzer. That run put the Lions in a 47-41 hole.

Truman extended its lead to nine early in the second half, but Lindenwood went on a 9-0 run to tie the game. Seven of those points came from bench players, including a layup by
Rayko Dundalov that tied the game at 53.

The two teams battled evenly for the next seven minutes, before the Lions started to pull away. A three-pointer by
LJ McIntosh put the Lions ahead 72-70 with 7:32 left, and that was the final lead change of the game. Lindenwood's defense held the Bulldogs without a point for the next 3:31, and the Lions extended their lead to seven points in that span. Truman got within a basket at 81-79, but Lindenwood answered with nine straight points to put the contest away.

Four Lions had career-high nights in scoring, led by
LJ McIntosh with 26 points. He hit six-of-eight from three-point range, and was nine-of-14 total from the field. His six three-pointers were the seventh-most in program history for a game. Eighteen of his 26 points came in the final half.

Chandler Diekvoss had a double-double with 19 points and 16 rebounds, and led the team with six assists. All three of those numbers were a career-high for the sophomore.
Jackson Price finished with 18 points, including seven-of-nine from the field and four-of-five from three-point range.
Landon Mills had eight points, including five second-chance points off of his two offensive rebounds.

Lindenwood will take its 3-0 record to Canada as it continues its busy stretch of five games in seven days. The Lions will start their trip with a Friday contest against Simon Fraser.
