Men's Basketball Continues Homestand On Wednesday Night

Wednesday's Game At A Glance
• The Lindenwood men's basketball team continues its five-game homestand on Wednesday night with a non-conference matchup against Robert Morris-Springfield. The game is one of two for the Lions before conference play begins on Dec. 8.
 
• Lindenwood won its third straight game last Friday with an 81-65 victory over Hannibal-LaGrange. The Lions held the Trojans under 40 percent shooting from the field, while the offense scored over 80 points for the third straight time.
 
• Robert Morris-Springfield is 0-6 on the season prior to a game on Tuesday night at Lincoln. The Eagles go into that contest on a 21-game losing streak.
 
• Lindenwood is 2-0 all-time against Robert Morris-Springfield. The last time the two teams met was during the 2014-15 season when the Lions won at home by a 104-68 score.
 
• Since the start of the 2012-13 season, Lindenwood is 16-4 in non-conference games at Hyland Arena. The Lions are 3-1 since Lance Randall took over the squad, including wins over Truman State and Hannibal-LaGrange this season.
 
Lindenwood Notes
• Lindenwood used an 8-0 run early in the game to take a 15-7 lead against Hannibal-LaGrange, and it never trailed again in the contest.
 
• Two Lions had double-doubles in the Hannibal-LaGrange contest. Chandler Diekvoss led the team with 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Dominique Dobbs had 14 points and 11 rebounds. It is the first time a pair of Lindenwood players had a double-double in the same game since the 2013-14 season. Against Lincoln that year, Garrett Reeg and Marcus Hinton both had double-doubles.
 
• Adam Pohlman had seven assists against the Trojans, the most by a Lion this season. Last season, that mark was reached or surpassed by an individual in just two contests.
 
• Chandler Diekvoss has scored 20 or more points in two straight games. Three other Lions have hit the 20-point mark in a game this year in LJ McIntosh (26), Brenon Larson-Gulsvig (22), and Dominique Dobbs (24).
 
• Dominique Dobbs has four double-doubles on the season. Since Lindenwood moved to the NCAA, only one player has recorded more in a season. Richie Thompson had five double-doubles during the 2012-13 season. The Lions have six double-doubles on the season as a team.
• Lindenwood is averaging over 10 three-pointers a game this season. It has made 10 or more three-pointers in five games this season, all victories. Over the last three games, it is averaging 12.3 three-pointers a game, and is shooting 42.5 percent from beyond the arc.
 
• Lindenwood is among the nation's leaders in assist-to-turnover ratio. The Lions are 20th nationally with a 1.44 assist-to-turnover radio. Adam Pohlman is 29th nationally with a 3.44 assist-to-turnover mark.
 
• The Lions have won or tied the rebounding battle in every game this year but one. Over the last three games, it has won the rebounding margin by 11 boards a game. Dominique Dobbs and Chandler Diekvoss both rank in the top-five in the MIAA in rebounds.
 
• Lindenwood is averaging 27.4 points a game from its bench, including a 41.3 mark over the last three games. Jackson Price is the top scorer off the bench, averaging 11.6 points a game. He has scored in double-figures in five out of the last six games.
 
• The Lions are third nationally with a .764 free-throw percentage. The team's regular starters are shooting 81.1 percent from the line. Brenon Larson-Gulsvig and LJ McIntosh have both missed just once this season.
 
A Look At Robert Morris-Springfield
• Robert Morris-Springfield fell in each of its first six games this season. Among the losses were setbacks against NCAA Division II schools McKendree, Illinois at Springfield, and Quincy.
 
• The Eagles are averaging 64.0 points a game this season, and they are allowing 95.0 points a contest.
 
• Last Tuesday, the Eagles lost to Lincoln Land Community College by a 92-63 score.  Leo Bowen led Robert Morris-Springfield with 21 points, all coming on three-pointers. Terrell Herridon also had double-figure points with 10.
 
• In that contest, Robert Morris-Springfield was outrebounded by a 43-24 margin. Justin English led the team with five boards. Other leaders in the game included Daquan Boyd who dished out nine assists.
