The Lindenwood men's basketball team extended its winning streak to four games on Wednesday night at Hyland Arena. The Lions defeated Robert Morris-Springfield by a 97-61 margin.

Lindenwood took over the game in the first half thanks to a big advantage in the low paint. The Lions scored 28 points in the paint, and also got to the free-throw line 21 times, which they converted into 18 points. The team's top three post players in the half,
Dominique Dobbs,
Chandler Diekvoss and
Brenon Larson-Gulsvig, combined for 44 points and shot just under 60 percent from the field. That trio helped Lindenwood open up a 58-33 lead at the break

The Lions continued to be led by its post players in the second half. Lindenwood scored 24 more points in the paint, and it outscored the Eagles in that category by a 52-16 margin for the game. The Lions led by as many as 41 points late in the game before the final winning margin of 36.

Lindenwood finished the game shooting 49.3 percent from the field, and it held Robert Morris-Springfield to a 37.1 percent shooting night. The Lions scored 25 points at the free-throw line, 16 more than the Eagles. Lindenwood also had a big advantage on the boards, winning the rebounding battle by a 56-28 margin. The 56 rebounds were the second-most in school history, two shy of the school record.

For the second straight game, two Lions finished with a double-double. Dobbs picked up his fifth of the season with 24 points and 11 rebounds, while Larson-Gulsvig had the first one of his career with 13 points and 10 boards. Diekvoss led the offense with a career-high 30 points, including 10-of-16 shooting from the field and 10-of-11 shooting from the free-throw line.

Jackson Price came off the bench to score 10 points.
Adam Pohlman led the team with five assists and two steals.

Lindenwood improves to 7-2 on the season. Next Monday, the Lions have their final tuneup before their conference opener with a 7 p.m. home game against Brescia.
