Road Series at Penn State Ahead for Women's Hockey

Series Notes:
- The Lindenwood women's hockey team concludes a stretch of three-consecutive road series' with a two-game set at Penn State. The CHA series will be played at Pegula Ice Arena in University Park, Pa. Puck drop is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. ET on Friday, and 1:00 p.m. ET on Saturday.

- Lindenwood and Penn State have faced-off 18 times dating back to the start of the 2012 season. The Lady Lions hold the edge in the all-time series, 9-7-2. Last season, Lindenwood had a 2-1-1 record against Penn State, including a 1-1-0 record in University Park, Pa.

- Penn State was chosen to finish in fourth place in the CHA preseason coaches poll, while Lindenwood tied for fifth place in the poll. The Nittany Lions are currently in second place in the conference standings.

- The Nittany Lions enter the weekend with a 4-6-2 record, and a 3-1-0 from within the CHA. Most recently Penn State split a two-game series at conference rival, Mercyhurst. The Nittany Lions currently boast the CHA's top-scoring offense, at 2.83 goals per game. Penn State is led offensively by Laura Bowman and Amy Petersen, who are both ranked in the top-eight nationally in points scored. Bowman has poured in 18 points this season, while Petersen has recorded 16 points. Daniela Paniccia has started seven games in net for the Nittany Lions, while accumulating a .937 save percentage and a 2.06 goals against average.

Lindenwood Notes:
- Jolene deBruyn and Morgan Skinner each started one game in goal for the Lady Lions at Ohio State. deBruyn turned in 46 saves over the two-game stretch, raising her save-percentage to .903.

- In the two games in Columbus, Ohio, Shannon Morris-Reade sent a team-high nine pucks towards the net. Sarah Bobrowski ranked second on the team with eight shots on goal.

- Ally Larson blocked a team-leading six shots during the series at Ohio State, bringing her total to 10 blocks for the season. Tae Otte leads the team for the season with 13 blocked shots.

- Kirsten Martin won 13 of her 18 faceoffs against the Buckeyes, leading the team with a .722 winning-percentage in the circle. Martin has won a team-high 35 draws this season.

- The Lady Lions penalty-kill unit ranks in the top-20 nationally, operating with an 85.7 percent efficency rate. Lindenwood has successfully killed off 15 of its last 16 opportunities dating back to Oct. 7 versus Northeastern.

- Lindenwood is the third-least penalized team in the country, averaging 7.25 penalty-minutes per game.

- Eight of the current Lady Lions have tallied at least one-point in their careers against Penn State. Carrie Atkinson is the leading point scorer against the Nittany Lions, totaling two goals and three assits in her career against Penn State.
