Women's Basketball Will Close Out 2016 in Hyland Arena on Saturday

The Lindenwood women's basketball team will host Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Hyland Arena to end the 2016 portion of the season.
 
Lindenwood Notes:
-The Lady Lions will return to St. Charles, Mo. with a 5-5 record on the year and a 1-3 mark in the MIAA.
 
-Lindenwood is looking to bounce back after two-consecutive losses on the road, including an 85-51 loss in its previous meeting on Dec. 19 against No. 5 Emporia State.
 
-Freshman forward, Kallie Bildner, is leading the Lady Lions in points per game (14.2) and rebounds per contest (9.0).
 
-The dynamic duo of Kallie Bildner and fellow classmate Gabby Walker are tied for the team-leading 52.6 field goal percentage, which also ranks second in the MIAA.
 
-Lindsay Medlen is ninth in the conference with her 3.5 assists per contest while she is adding 6.4 points per game.
 
-Charisse Williams is posting 8.4 points, with 1.6 steals, and 3.2 rebounds per game while Sara Ross and Alex Haley are scoring 6.7 point per game.
 
-The Lady Lions are shooting just under 43 percent on the season, but just 20 percent from long-range.
 
-Lindenwood sits in the middle of the pack in rebounding margin (+7.4), free-throw percentage (68.6), and scoring offense (69.2).
 
Saturday's Game:
-Lindenwood and Missouri-St. Louis will meet for the sixth time since 2009 as the Tritons hold a 2-3 series lead in that span.  The Lady Lions and Tritons have met 12 times with an even six wins each since 1988.
 
-The Lady Lions won the previous meeting last year in a thrilling 68-67 early-season victory on the road.
 
-In the recent meeting, CeCe Rapp registered 12 points and two blocks on 6-of-8 shooting.  Kylie Ferguson dropped nine points while Charisse Williams scored eight points and added three assists.
 
-Lindenwood is 3-1 at home this season including an 86-80 win over Missouri Southern on Dec. 10 in the most recent game in Hyland Arena.
 
Missouri-St. Louis Notes:
-The Tritons will cross the river with a 5-4 overall record and stand at 1-1 in the GLVC.
 
-Missouri-St. Louis is led by Laura Szorenyi who is averaging 15.3 points per game with 3.0 rebounds per night and 19 assists on the season.
 
-Jordan Fletcher is posting 12.2 points per game with 5.3 rebounds per contest and has tallied 14 blocks on the year.
 
-The Tritons are coached by Katie Vaughn who is in her fifth season with the Tritons and eighth season as a college head coach.  Vaughn has compiled a 66-54 record at Missouri-St. Louis while holding a career mark of 95-106.
