Women's Basketball Plays Host to Missouri Southern

The Lindenwood women's basketball team will look to get back on the winning track with a 1:30 p.m. game against Missouri Southern in Hyland Arena on Saturday in St. Charles, Mo.
 
Lindenwood Notes:
-The Lady Lions are coming off of a 95-80 loss to No. 4 Pittsburg State in Hyland Arena on Thursday evening.
 
-Kallie Bildner (19), Charisse Williams (16), and Gabby Walker (12) scored in double digits while Williams led the team in rebounds with six.  Walker, Bildner, and Sara Ross each snagged five rebounds as the Lady Lions won the rebounding battle 35-28.
 
-Although Pittsburg State made 54 percent of its shots, Lindenwood shot 49 percent from the field to keep the Lady Lions in the game for most of the night.
 
-Lindenwood will look to decrease the turnovers and increase the three-point shooting as the Lady Lions sit near the bottom of the conference in both categories.
 
-Kallie Bildner leads the team and stands at 11th in the MIAA with 15.4 points per game and is third in the conference with 8.9 rebounds per contest.  Bildner is tied for first in the conference with a 57.1 field goal percentage.
 
-Gabby Walker is averaging 11.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per game while Sara Ross is scoring 6.1 per game with 5.1 rebounds per contest.
 
-The Lady Lions are scoring 72.3 points per game and have allowed 68.7 points per game through seven contests including one conference game.
 
Saturday's Notes:
-Lindenwood enters Saturday with a 4-3 record and a 0-1 mark in the MIAA while Missouri Southern will bring a 6-4 overall record to St. Charles, Mo. along with a 3-0 conference record.
 
-Missouri Southern is undefeated against Lindenwood in the nine-game series dating back to 1982.  Lindenwood is 0-6 against Missouri Southern since 2013 including four games in Hyland Arena.
 
-Last season, Lindenwood fell 71-68 in Hyland Arena while both teams shot over 42 percent from the field while Missouri Southern made more than half of its three-pointers.
 
-In the late-January meeting, Kylie Ferguson scored 10 points while Charisse Williams tallied nine points in the only game between the two teams last year.
 
Missouri Southern Notes:
-Missouri Southern will visit St. Charles, Mo. with a four-game winning streak including a 75-64 win over then-ranked Fort Hays State.
 
-The Lions won their sixth game after a 70-56 win over Lincoln in Jefferson City, Mo.  Missouri Southern is 3-3 on the road this season and will head to Missouri S&T after its conference game with Lindenwood.
 
-Deb Holcomb (14.2), Desirea Buerge (11.0), and Chelsey Henry (10.4) are leading Missouri Southern on offense while Jenson Maydew has snagged 61 rebounds.
