The Lindenwood baseball team defeated Pittsburg State 11-2 in the final regular season game in Pittsburg, Kan. on Saturday afternoon.

The Lions opened their final game with a statement in the first inning that began with a
Nathan Prindle solo home run.Â
Bobby Lang drove in a run on a single to right field, and
Paul Sherwood drew a bases-loaded walk to put the Lions up 3-0.Â
Jake Cooper capped off the big inning with a two-RBI single to center, giving Lindenwood the 5-0 advantage after the first inning.

Connor Law pitched five innings with one strikeout and two runs allowed on four hits.Â
Drew Quinones hit a solo home run in the top of the fifth to extend the Lindenwood lead to 6-2. Prindle hit his second home run of the day in the top of the seventh and then hit a grand slam in the eighth for his third home run of the game.

Lindenwood closed out the 2016 season with an 11-2 win to finish 24-26 on the year and 18-21 in the MIAA.
