Box Score 2 The Lindenwood women's volleyball team finished its season-opening home tournament with a 3-1 record after going 1-1 on Saturday. The Lady Lions defeated Georgian Court in the morning, but fell to Missouri-St. Louis in the final match of the event.

After winning each of their matches yesterday, the Lady Lions got off to a slow start Saturday morning against Georgian Court. The visiting Lions took set one from Lindenwood 25-21, before the home squad rallied to take set two 25-23. The Lady Lions then took control, dominating the third and fourth sets by the score of 25-11 and 25-16, respectively.

Alex Dahlstrom (18),
Jessica Krygsheld (13), and
Bailey Dvorak (12) combined for 43 of the team's 63 kills in the match, while Dahlstrom also led the team in hitting percentage with a .433 mark. The Lady Lions tallied 55 assists, with freshman
Kali Crawford dishing out 34 dimes while
Allyson Clancy had 11. Five ladies had at least eight digs, including
Anna Reichert,
Ivy Reynolds, and
Megan Hellwege, along with Krygsheld and Crawford.

Following their .075 hitting percentage in the first set, the Lady Lions recorded a .237, .516, and .237 in the following frames, respectively. The team also had seven service aces, compared to Georgian Court's two.

In the nightcap, Lindenwood fell to Missouri-St. Louis by scores of 25-17, 25-18, and 25-18. The Lady Lions hit just .063 for the match, and had 19 unforced hitting errors.

Dahlstrom led the team with eight kills, folloed by Krygsheld with seven. Clancy had a double-double with 29 assists and 11 digs, and
Megan Hellwege also added 11 digs. Dahlstrom also had a team-high four service aces.
Hellwege was named to the all-tournament team after averaging over five digs for the entire tournament.
