Lady Lions Take on No. 5 Pittsburg State

The Lindenwood women's basketball team will take on No. 5 Pittsburg State at 12 p.m. in Pittsburg, Kan. on Saturday.
 
Lindenwood Notes:
-The Lady Lions snapped a five-game losing skid on Thursday with a 74-72 win over Missouri Southern in Joplin, Mo.  Lindsay Medlen had a phenomenal game with 13 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.  Medlen also knocked down two clutch three-pointers to help Lindenwood to its second conference win.
 
-Charisse Williams hit the game-winning layup with just two seconds left to give Lindenwood the victory.  Lindenwood shot 46 percent from the field and tallied 46 points in the paint while adding five three-pointers on 16 attempts.
 
-Alex Haley was a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe to help boost her season free-throw percentage to 69 percent.
 
-Kallie Bildner have missed the last few games, but still leads the team with 14.2 points per game with 9.0 rebounds per contest.  Gabby Walker is scoring 11.5 points per night with 4.7 boards per game.
 
-Lindenwood is an even 3-4 at home and 3-4 on the road this year.  The Lady Lions won their first game of the season when trailing at the half and trailing with five minutes remaining in the game.
 
-The Lady Lions are 5-2 when they compile a higher shooting percentage than the opposition.  Lindenwood is 2-0 in games decided by four points or less and has won one game on all of the days of the week except for Friday.
 
Saturday's Games:
-Lindenwood will visit Pittsburg, Kan. with a 6-8 overall record with a 2-5 mark in the MIAA.  No. 5 Pittsburg State stands at 15-1 on the season and is undefeated in the conference with a 7-0 record.
 
-The Gorillas had the upper hand in the previous meeting with a 95-80 win over the Lady Lions in early December in Hyland Arena.
 
-Kallie Bildner scored 19 points with three assists and five rebounds, while Charisse Williams registered 16 points and six rebounds.  Gabby Walker pitched in 12 points and five rebounds as Lindenwood shot an impressive 49.2 percent.
 
-Pittsburg State was 10-of-27 from three-point range and was on fire with a 54.1 field goal percentage.  The two teams combined for 90 points in the paint and the Gorillas took advantage of the Lady Lions miscues and turned in 25 points off of turnovers.
 
No. 5 Pittsburg State Notes:
-The Gorillas have won four-straight games after suffering their only loss of the season on New Year's Eve at home against Emporia State.
 
-Pittsburg State dominated the court on Thursday with a clean 106-67 win over Lincoln.  The Gorillas had five players score in double digits as the team shot 50 percent from the field and was 15-for-42 from three-point range.
 
-Head Coach Lane Lord is in his 11th season at Pittsburg State and 14th overall.  Lord is 198-90 with the Gorillas and 275-111 in his career.
