Women's Basketball Returns to Hyland Arena

The Lindenwood women's basketball team will return to St. Charles, Mo. to take on Southwest Baptist at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday in Hyland Arena.
 
Lindenwood Notes:
-The Lady Lions are coming off of a 1-1 road trip that included a two-point win over Missouri Southern due to a last-second layup by Charisse Williams.  Lindenwood then traveled to No. 5 Pittsburg State and put up a strong fight in a 78-69 loss on Saturday.
 
-Against the Gorillas, Lindsay Medlen was 4-of-8 from three-point range and made all four of her free-throws to tally 16 points while adding five rebounds and three assists.
 
-Jerricah Butler knocked down two three-pointers and finished with 13 points.  Gabby Walker scored nine of her 11 points in the first half and finished with five rebounds. 
 
-Lindenwood shot 47 percent from the field, 30 percent from three-point range, and just 55 percent from the charity stripe.  The Lady Lions held a three rebound advantage in the game, but committed 23 turnovers to just 12 for the Gorillas.
 
-Kallie Bildner has been out of the lineup for a five-game stretch, but is leading the team with 14.2 points per game and 9.0 rebounds per game in her 10 games played.
 
-Jerricah Butler has had the two best games of her career scoring 12 points against Missouri Southern and 13 points against No. 5 Pittsburg State.  Butler has scored 69 points on the season which has nearly doubled her last two seasons combined.
 
-Lindenwood still ranks near the bottom of the barrel in the MIAA in both free-throw percentage (12th) and three-point percentage (14th), but has moved up to seventh in the conference with a 7.1 rebounding advantage.
 
Thursday's Game:
-Lindenwood returns to Hyland with a 6-9 overall record and a 2-6 showing in the MIAA while Southwest Baptist is 11-5 on the year and 3-4 in conference play.
 
-Southwest Baptist holds a 4-3 record over the Lady Lions since 2012-13 while the Bearcats also defeated Lindenwood two times in the 1984-85 season.
 
-Last season, Southwest Baptist ousted Lindenwood in a three-point game in Bolivar, Mo.
 
-Charisse Williams tallied 10 points with three rebounds while Beth Maenpaa had a team-high six rebounds with nine points.
 
Southwest Baptist Notes:
-The Bearcats are looking to bounce back from a 79-72 loss to Northwest Missouri State on Saturday in Bolivar, Mo.
 
-Southwest Baptist has won two of its last four games by winning one game on the road and one at home as the Bearcats are 1-3 on the road this season.
 
-Megan Rosenbohm is leading the team with her 14.6 points per contest and is adding 3.4 rebounds per game with 2.5 assists.
 
-Caylee Richardson is grabbing seven boards per night while the Bearcats are shooting 47 percent from the field, 32 percent from behind the arc, and 75 percent from the charity stripe.
 
-The Bearcats are coached by Kelsey Keizer who is in her third season in Bolivar, Mo. with an overall record of 36-36.
