The first quarter was a slow start as Lindenwood held a 2-1 lead after three minutes of play.  Southwest Baptist scored the next four points in 1:30 of play to take a 5-2 lead.  Rapp scored the first six points for the Lady Lions and gave Lindenwood its second lead after her eighth point for a 10-9 advantage.  The Lindenwood offense took off for the remainder of the quarter as the Lady Lions took a 15-12 lead at the end of the first frame.  Lindenwood ended the quarter shooting 6-of-7 from the field in the final four minutes to take the momentum into the break.

Rapp added to the lead to open the second quarter and Williams dialed in to help expand the Lindenwood lead.  Williams made a free-throw, a layup, and a three-pointer in the next 1:30 of game clock to extend the lead to 23-16.  Alex Haley joined in on the scored as she knocked down back-to-back jumpers to give Lindenwood a nine-point lead with 5:41 remaining in the first half.  The Lady Lions finished the half strong and built a 34-27 lead after two quarters of play.  Rapp was the team-leader with 11 points while Williams tallied 10 points.  Lindenwood shot 48 percent from the field and outrebounded the Bearcats 24-16.

Southwest Baptist responded well in the third quarter and pulled within two points after forcing three turnovers in the first three minutes of play.  Walker helped add to Lindenwood's lead after scoring six-straight points to put Lindenwood up by seven points.  The Bearcats hit a three-pointer to cut their deficit to two points, but the Lindenwood played strong offense and held a 49-44 lead heading into the final quarter of play.  Four Lindenwood players registered double-digits in points while Walker led the lead with 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field.

Lindenwood showed no hesitation diving for the loose ball and going down low to get the offensive rebound.  Walker continued to go to work in the paint and scored the first two points of the quarter for the Lady Lions to hold a 53-50 advantage.  Rapp continued to chase Walker on the stat sheet as she tallied her 15th point of the game to build the Lady Lions lead to seven.  Southwest Baptist forced back-to-back turnovers late in the quarter and Lindenwood held just a 63-61 lead with 2:54 to go in the game.  Walker set a new career-high with her next bucket as she tallied her 21st point and Williams hit two free-throws to take a six-point nearing the one-minute mark.

Southwest Baptist scored five-straight points in 13 seconds to pull within one point and just 50 seconds to go in the ballgame.  Lindsay Medlen went to the free-throw line for two shots, but just made the back end to take a 68-66 lead with 29 second remaining.  The Bearcats hit a game-tying layup with five second to go, only for Williams to regain the lead for Lindenwood with 2.8 seconds on the clock.  The Lady Lions stopped the Bearcats final attempt as Lindenwood defeated Southwest Baptist 70-68.
