Women's Basketball Faces Fort Hays State on Saturday

The Lindenwood women's basketball team is looking to snap a two-game road skid on Saturday in Hays, Kan. against Fort Hays State at 2 p.m.
 
Lindenwood Notes:
-The Lady Lions struggled to defend the three-point-shooting by the Lopers in a 69-55 loss on Thursday in which Nebraska-Kearney made 13-of-27 three-pointers.
 
-Alex Haley and Lindsay Medlen led the team with 13 points each while Gabby Walker snagged six rebounds and added two points.
 
-Lindenwood was outrebounded 47-35 while shooting 4-of-13 from the charity stripe.  The Lady Lions allowed two 20-point scorers for the Lopers as each of the two players made six three-pointers in the game.
 
-Lindsay Medlen is leading the team with 58 assists on the season while Charisse Williams has compiled 23 steals through 18 games.
 
-Lindenwood is 3-0 when shooting over 50 percent from the field and is 6-2 when leading with five minutes remaining in the game.
 
-Charisse Williams has scored 10 points or more in 19 career games and Jerricah Butler has tallied all three of her double-digit scoring games this season.
 
-Bre Zanders has registered two blocks in two-consecutive games while Alex Haley tallied her third-straight game with 10 points or more.
 
Saturday's Game:
-Lindenwood enters the game with a 7-11 overall record with a 3-8 mark in the MIAA while Fort Hays State is 15-4 on the season with a 6-4 conference record.
 
-The Lady Lions have not defeated the Tigers in the five meeting between the two schools.  Fort Hays State won by a seven-point margin in the first meeting of 2015-16, but won handily in the second meeting by a score of 84-66 in Hays, Kan.
 
-In Feb. 18 meeting last year, CeCe Rapp tallied 11 points with four rebounds as Fort Hays State was ranked No. 10 in the WBCA Division II Poll.
 
Fort Hays State Notes:
-The Tigers are coming off of an 81-68 win over Lincoln on Thursday in Hays, Kan. after suffering back-to-back losses on the road.
 
-Fort Hays State is 10-0 in Gross Memorial Coliseum and has not lost a regular season home game since Feb. 15, 2014 in a 71-67 loss to Pittsburg State.
 
-The Tigers have balanced scoring throughout the roster as Jill Faxon leads the team with 11.5 points per game and Kacey Kennett is scoring 10.2 points per night.
 
-Fort Hays State has seven other player who are contributing at least five points per contest.  Tatyana Legette is leading the team with 7.7 rebounds per game and Emma Stroyan is contributing 5.7 rebounds per night.
