Lady Lions Host No. 20 Central Oklahoma on Saturday

The Lindenwood women's basketball team will look to snap a 4-game losing streak against No. 20 Central Oklahoma on Saturday afternoon in Hyland Arena at 1:30 p.m.
 
Lindenwood Notes:
-The Lady Lions are looking to rebound after a 71-64 loss to Northeastern State on Thursday night in St. Charles, Mo.  Lindenwood overcame a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter, but could not maintain a lead in the MIAA contest.
 
-After missing the team's leading scorer and rebounder, Kallie Bildner, for two games, Gabby Walker has stepped up to average 11 points and 5.1 rebounds in that span.
 
-Alex Haley had one of the best games of her season with 19 points on 7-of-14 shooting and 2-of-5 from three-point range.  Haley added one rebound, one assist, and one steal.
 
-Charisse Williams is leading the team with 18 steals on the year and has averaged 8.2 points with 3.5 rebounds per contest.  Sara Ross is posting 7.6 points per night with 4.3 rebound per game.
 
-Lindenwood holds a 7.2 rebounding margin on the year while shooting 42 percent from the field, but ranks last in the MIAA with a 21 percent from three-point range.
 
-The Lady Lions are pitching a 4-1 record when leading at the half and a 5-2 record when leading with five minutes remaining in the game.
 
Saturday's Game:
-Lindenwood enters the day with a 5-7 record on the year and a 1-4 mark in the MIAA.  No. 20 Central Oklahoma carries a 12-1 season record with a 4-1 conference record into St. Charles, Mo.
 
-Lindenwood has defeated Central Oklahoma two times in the 11 meetings since 2012.  The Lady Lions last victory over the Bronchos came on December 5, 2013 in a 78-71 victory in Hyland Arena.
 
-The two teams met three times last season including a matchup in the first round of the MIAA Tournament in which Central Oklahoma won 71-56.  Charisse Williams scored 32 points against the Bronchos over the three-game span last season.
 
No. 20 Central Oklahoma Notes:
-The Bronchos are led by Melinda Murillo who is posting 16.5 points per game and Jesheon Cooper who is averaging a double-double with 11.4 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.  Cooper has added 35 blocks to her stat line which is tied for first in the MIAA at 2.7 per contest.
 
-Central Oklahoma is coming off of a slim 66-64 win over Lincoln in Jefferson City, Mo.  The Bronchos were outscored in the paint 34-20 and allowed the Blue Tigers to score 16 points off of turnovers.
 
-The visiting Bronchos lost their only game of the season against Missouri Western in Edmond, Okla. on New Year's Eve.
 
-Head Coach Guy Hardaker, who has spent his who career at Central Oklahoma, is in his 11th season and holds a 195-113 record.
