Football Returns Home On Saturday Afternoon Against Nebraska-Kearney

Storylines:
- The Lindenwood football team returns home this Saturday for a 1 p.m. game at Hunter Stadium versus Nebraska-Kearney.

- Lindenwood looks to finish the season on a high note, starting with this week's contest against the Lopers. The Lions are currently 2-6 on the year and in tenth place in the MIAA standings.

- Nebraska-Kearney enters the game with a 3-5 overall record, and it is in ninth place in the conference. The Lopers picked up their third win last week with a 42-27 victory over Northeastern State.

- Last week, Lindenwood held the No. 1 team in the country without a point for the final 30 minutes, but it still fell to No. 1 Northwest Missouri by a 19-0 score. The Lions defense allowed just two touchdowns in the game, as the Bearcats were held to 11 points below their season average.

- Lindenwood leads the all-time series with Nebraska-Kearney by a 3-2 record, and the Lions have won two straight in the series. The home team has won every meeting in the series, with the exception of last year's 35-14 Lindenwood win. The series has not had a close game yet, with every game being decided by 18 or more points.

- Lindenwood won last year's meeting by a 35-14 score in Kearney, Neb. The Lions trailed 7-0 after the first quarter, but the Lions erupted for 28 unanswered second-half points. Lindenwood's defense had five interceptions in the game, which led to 21 points off turnovers for the Lions.

- The Lions will look to get their ground game going against the Lopers after they have been held under 100 rushing yards for the last four contests. Nebraska-Kearney has one of the top rushing defenses in the MIAA, allowing 91.0 rushing yards a game.

- On the other side of the ball, Lindenwood's defense is ranked sixth in the MIAA by allowing 27.5 points a game, while Nebraska-Kearney's offense is 10th in the league with 16.6 points a contest.

- Deantrell Prince is 34th in NCAA Division II with 86.4 receiving yards a game. His current average would be the second-most in program history for a season.
