The Lindenwood women's hockey team defeated the Lindenwood-Belleville Lynx by a final score of 7-0 on Tuesday evening from Lindenwood Ice Arena in Wentzville, Mo.
Britannia Gillanders led all scorers with two goals and three assists in the exhibition contest.
Lindenwood received points from nine different skaters, including goals from six players.
Courtney Ganske and
Ally Larson had the first-period goals for the Lions, while
Megan Wagner added a goal during the second period.
Shannon Morris-Reade and
Lillian Marchant each scored once during the final frame, while Gillanders lit the lamp twice to close out the win.
Jolene deBruyn and
Sarah McGall split the goaltending duties, each making one save in net.
Lindenwood will return to action on Saturday, November 25 for a 2:00 p.m. contest with the No. 6 Minnesota Golden Gophers. The game will be the first of a two-game series played at Lindenwood Ice Arena.
