Field Hockey Wins ECAC Tournament Championship

OVERVIEW
Lindenwood won its second consecutive ECAC Tournament title with a 3-0 win over Limestone Sunday afternoon. The Lions rise to 17-2 overall and await the NCAA DII selection show scheduled for Monday.

LU SCORING SUMMARY
2' | Caro Theunisz sends the ball into the circle from the right wing. Bridget Hoogendijk was waiting at the near post to deflect the shot in for her fourth goal of the tournament.
15' | Greta Banholzer takes a shot that is saved by the Limestone goalie. She then collects her own rebound and passes to Jessie Londono in front of the cage.
44' | The ball was loose in front of the cage and Londono flicks past the goalie where the ball is tipped in by Graycen Dave.

NOTABLE
- Bridget Hoogendijk scored the game winner for the Lions, her fourth goal of the tournament. Her performance garnered her ECAC Tournament MVP accolades.
- Nicole Johnston also earned all-tournament accolades. She anchored a Lindenwood defense that did not allow a goal in the ECAC Tournament.
- Skylar Starbeck was named the All-Tournament team goalie. Starbeck played nearly 130 minutes between the pipes for the Lions and did not allow a goal.
- Jessie Londono was the final Lion representative on the ECAC All-Tournament team. She had a goal and two assists in the tournament. I? 
- The championship was the Lion's fifth-consecutive shutout. Lindenwood has not allowed a goal in 357 minutes.

The NCAA DII Field Hockey selection show is set for Monday, Nov. 6. During the show the Lions will discover if they have been selected for the 2017 NCAA DII National Championship.
