The Lindenwood tennis teams traveled to Southern Indiana University for their spring season openers on Saturday. The women's team came away with a 7-2 victory thanks to five wins in singles and two in doubles while the men grabbed one win in singles in the 8-1 loss.
On the women's side,

Alexis McCarthy prevailing at No. 3 behind an 8-6 tally.
Piccamiglio carried over her momentum from doubles into singles as she needed three sets to overcome Kymberly Brannon by a final score of 6-1, 3-6, 6-1 at No. 4. Following Piccamiglio's lead was
Anna Barbasheva at No. 2 when she took down Kelsey Shipman behind a close 7-5 first set and a comfortable 6-2 second set. As the Lady Lions led the Eagles 4-1, Hamed completed her perfect day when she beat Brenna Wu in straight sets at No. 3.
After the Eagles collected their second victory of the match at No. 1,
Rebeca Aguilar and
Diana Castro crusied through their matches at No. 5 and 6 respectively as they each defeated their opponents in straight sets to seal the victory.
The men started off strong in doubles, but could not escape with a win.

Corentin Seywart paired up at No. 1 and contested with their opponents to a close 8-5 score.
Filip Bogic and
