Women's Hockey Set to Honor 2016-17 Senior Class During Final Home Series

Series Notes:
- The Lindenwood women's hockey team concludes the regular season portion of its 2016-17 schedule with a two-game home series versus the Robert Morris Colonials on February 24-25. Puck drop is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening, followed by a 1:00 p.m. start time on Saturday afternoon. Both games are slated to be played at Lindenwood Ice Arena in Wentzville, Mo.

- On January 13-14 Lindenwood traveled to Pittsburgh, Pa. for a two-game series at Robert Morris. During the first game of the series the Lady Lions handed the Colonials their first regulation loss of the season. Robert Morris skated to a 5-2 victory during the second game.

- Prior to the start of the series finale on February 25, Lindenwood will honor its four seniors during the annual Senior Day ceremony. The Lady Lions set to be recognized are; Carrie Atkinson, Holly Dietzler, Katie Nokelby, and Tae Otte.

- No. 8 Robert Morris enters the weekend as the top-ranked team in the CHA, one point in front of second place Syracuse. The Colonials are led offensively by the duo of Brittany Howard and Jaycee Gebhard. Howard leads Robert Morris with 47 points and 29 assists, while Gebhard has scored a team-best 20 goals, including nine scores while on the power play. Jessica Dodds has 12 victories in net while posting a .923 save percentage.

Lindenwood Notes:
- Sarah Bobrowski netted her first goal of the season during the second period of Lindenwood's game at Mercyhurst on February 17.

- Britannia Gillanders finished the series at Mercyhurst with one assist, raising her season point total to 10. Gillanders became the second Lady Lion to reach the double-digit point plateau this season.

- Cierra Paisley tallied her third goal of the season on February 18 at Mercyhurst. With the goal, Paisley regained her spot as Lindenwood's leading scorer.

- Kirsten Martin dished out the assist on Paisley's score at Mercyhurst, giving her eight points for the season, and bringing her into a tie with Carla Goodwin for the third most points on the team.

- Jolene deBruyn started both games at Mercyhurst, finishing the weekend with 56 saves. deBruyn has appeared in 25 games this season, and has totaled 675 saves for a .908 save percentage. 

- Following the series at Mercyhurst, Holly Dietzler became the program leader in career games played. Dietzler has dressed for a 132 games during her tenure as a Lady Lion. Carrie Atkinson ranks second all-time in program history, skating in 131 contests.

- Tirra Lemoine scored the first game-winning goal of her career on January 13, 2017 at Robert Morris. Lemoine is tied atop the team leaderboard with four other Lady Lions for game-winning goals this year.

- Courtney Ganske tied for the team-lead with six blocked shots during the two-game stretch at Mercyhurst. Ganske has 49 blocks to lead Lindenwood this season. Erin Near has 48 blocks.
