Jackson Price hit a three-pointer with four seconds remaining to give the Lindenwood men's basketball team a 67-65 victory over Missouri Western in its regular season finale. The victory gives the Lions a first-round home game on Monday in the MIAA Tournament.

The game was exciting with five ties and 14 lead changes in the second half. Missouri Western led 56-55 with 4:36 remaining, but the Lions went on a 6-0 run with field goals by
LJ McIntosh,
Chandler Diekvoss, and
Bakari Triggs. After a Griffon score, a three-pointer by
Adam Pohlman gave Lindenwood a 64-58 lead with 2:35 left.

Missouri Western fought back in its final game of the season, getting within one at the 1:43 mark. Both teams missed several chances in their next possessions, until the Griffons were fouled with nine seconds left. Missouri Western made both free throws to go up 65-64.

Lindenwood didn't call timeout, and Price came right down and launched a long three-pointer from the right wing that went through. The Griffons had one last chance, but the Lions forced an off-balance three-pointer that missed the target.

Lindenwood shot just 43.6 percent from the field, but it did make over 40 percent of its three-pointers. It also turned the ball over just eight times, and it outrebounded the Griffons by two boards. Missouri Western shot 46.3 percent from the field, but made two less three-pointers and two fewer free throws.

Diekvoss finished with a team-high 23 points and four blocks, and also tied for the team-high in rebounds with eight. He shot eight-of-13 from the field, and made a team-high three three-pointers. Triggs had 13 points, followed by Price with 10 and McIntosh with nine.
Max Meylor came off the bench to score six points.
Dominique Dobbs also had eight rebounds, and Triggs led the team with three assists.

Lindenwood finishes the regular season with a 21-11 overall record, and it finished eighth in the MIAA with a 10-9 mark. The Lions will host Lincoln on Monday evening at 7 p.m. in the first round of the MIAA Tournament.
