Men's Basketball Scores over 100 Points In Home Victory Over RMU-Peoria

The Lindenwood men's basketball team won its tenth home game of the season on Tuesday night in Hyland Arena. The Lions ended the non-conference portion of its regular season schedule with a 101-76 victory over Robert Morris-Peoria.
 
The game was close early on, with the two teams being tied at 16 at the 10:29 mark of the first half. The Lions outscored the Eagles 28-16 for the remainder of the half, including a 7-0 run late that included three layups by Landon Mills. That run helped Lindenwood take a 44-32 advantage into halftime.
 
Robert Morris-Peoria was never able to get the score closer than nine points in the second half, and a 13-0 run by the Lions, which started at the 8:05 mark, gave Lindenwood one of its largest leads at 87-62. Later in the half, a Bryan Waithe layup with 14 seconds remaining put the Lions over the century mark for the second time this season.
 
Lindenwood scored its second-highest point total of the season, and it shot a season-high 61 percent from the field. The Lions reached the free-throw line 29 times, and made 24 of those shots. Every Lion who saw the court had at least one field goal in the game.
 
The Lions had a size advantage against the Eagles and used it to score 58 points in the paint. The duo of Chandler Diekvoss and Dominique Dobbs both scored a team-high 21 points, and the duo combined to shoot 71.4 percent from the field. Diekvoss finished with a team-high nine rebounds, one more than Dobbs, and he also had four assists and the team's only block.
 
Mills finished with 12 points, and he was a perfect five-of-five from the field. Zac Haese was in double-figures with 10 points, and Max Meylor and Adam Pohlman each had nine. Rayko Dundalov finished with eight points, LJ McIntosh had five, Waithe had four, and Bakari Triggs collected two.
 
McIntosh had eight assists and no turnovers. Pohlman finished with seven rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
 
Lindenwood improves to 17-10 on the season with the victory. The Lions return to MIAA play on Saturday with a 3:30 p.m. road contest at Lincoln.
