Drew Quinones doubled down the left field line and a single by
Rayce Singbush put the Lions on the board to make it 4-1. Lindenwood hit a wall in the inning and could not find any more offense as it ended the inning with a strikeout and three runners stranded.
Â
Ryan Sosnowski started the eighth inning and scored on a double to left center by
Conor Behrens, but the Lions failed to build off the momentum and brought the game to a 4-2 deficit. Missouri Western added two insurance runs in the top of the ninth and the Lions ran out of gas in the 6-2 loss.
Â
