The Lindenwood baseball team dropped a mid-week game to Lindenwood-Belleville by an 8-3 margin on Tuesday night in Sauget, Ill.

Blake Beckmann tossed a no-hitter through the first three innings, but the Lynx scored in bunches after the Lions committed five errors in the ballgame.Â
Kyle Teter had two hits in the game including a double and a run scored while
Vince Saladino drove in two runs and had one double.

The Lions jumped on the board in the top of the second after Teter hit a double to put
Drew Quinones on third and Saladino drove in the first run of the game. The Lynx tied the game in the bottom of the fourth with an RBI double down the right field line. Lindenwood-Belleville took advantage of a fielding error by the Lions to take a 2-1 lead.

Lindenwood regained the lead in the top of the sixth after a double to left center by Saladino drove in Teter to tie the game.Â
Nick Paulda scored on a wild pitch on the next pitch to put the Lions up 3-2. The Lynx poured on five runs on three hits and two errors by the Lions to take a 7-3 lead after six innings of play. Lindenwood-Belleville added another run in the bottom of the eighth and held the Lions scoreless for the remainder of the game.

Lindenwood falls to 26-17 on the year while the Lynx improve to 27-22 on the season. The Lions travel to Tahlequah, Okla. on Friday to start a three-game series with Northeastern State with game one starting at 6 p.m.
