The Lindenwood baseball team ended the regular season with a 7-4 win over Pittsburg State on Sunday afternoon at the Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles, Mo.

Ryan Sosnowski put the Lions on the board first with a double down the left field line to bring in
Wes Degener.Â
Drew Quinones drove in Sosnowski on a single thorough the right side and
Conor Behrens doubled to left center to give Lindenwood a 3-0 lead. The Lions poured on more runs in the bottom of the third inning as Sosnowski scored for the second time in the game.Â
Sam Baxter hit a two-RBI double to left field to put the Lions ahead 6-0.

Lindenwood scored a run in an unusual way in the bottom of the fourth inning with a runner on first base. Muehling took second on wild pitch and was able to come all the way around to score after a throwing error by the Gorillas. Pittsburg State had a late spark in the seventh inning with a four-run rally to cut the lead to three runs.Â
Connor Law shut the door to end the game and help the Lions to a 7-4 victory on Saturday.

Lindenwood improves to 31-17 on the year and 24-11 in the MIAA while the Gorillas fall to 23-27 on the year and 17-19 in conference play. The Lions will enter the MIAA Tournament as the three-seed and will play at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning in Joplin, Mo.
