The Lindenwood men's tennis team defeated William Woods in a dual match on Saturday afternoon from Fulton, Mo. The Lions prevailed in the match by a score of 5-4.
Lindenwood collected victories at No. 1, No. 3, No. 5, and No. 6 singles, while also taking the No. 3 doubles match.
Andrei Masin continued his strong play at the No. 1 spot for the Lions, winning his match 6-3, 6-4. Masin improves to 5-0 to begin the fall season.
Naoufal El Idrissi posted a three-set victory in the No. 3 singles match, his second victory of the season. Lindenwood also received victories from
Michele Gaspari and
Antoine Barraud in the No. 5 and No. 6 matches.
Barraud and
Theo Butaeye teamed up for Lindenwood's lone win during doubles competition. Barraud and Butaeye cruised to an 8-6 victory.
Lindenwood will return to the court on Sep. 29-30 for the ITA Central Regional from Bolivar, Mo.
