The Lindenwood women's volleyball team fought hard in a 3-1 loss to Missouri Western on Friday in Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo.
 
The Lions won the first set 25-22, but dropped the second set 25-16.  The third set went back-and-forth until the Griffons ended it with a 26-24 set win before ending the match with a 25-22 win in the final frame.  Emily Wylie tallied 12 kills and hit .321 for the match while Sadie Kosciuk registered 12 kills on a .320 hitting percentage.  Alex Dahlstrom had 14 kills and two service aces.
 
Lindenwood falls to 8-6 on the year and 0-1 in the MIAA while Missouri Western improves to 7-7 on the season and 1-0 in conference play.  The Lions return to action on Saturday in Hyland Arena as they host Northwest Missouri at 2 p.m. in St. Charles, Mo.
