The Lindenwood women's volleyball team split its two games on Friday with a 3-0 win over Bridgeport and a 3-2 loss to No. 9 Augustana in the 2017 Lindenwood Challenge in Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo.

Alex Dahlstrom tallied 10 kills in the first match on a .450 hitting percentage to help the Lions to wins of 25-16, 25-16, and 25-14.Â
Allyson Clancy dished out 16 assists while
Ivy Reynolds tallied 14 helpers. Lindenwood hit .330 as a team and added four service aces.

No. 9 Augustana saw a determined Lindenwood team in the nightcap as the Lions took set one 25-23. After the Vikings won the second set 25-21, Lindenwood bounced back for a 25-18 win the set three. Augustana came from behind to take the fourth set and a big rally by the Vikings led to a 15-7 win in set five over the Lions.

Bailey Dvorak posted 10 kills while
Alex Bogusz and Dahlstrom each compiled nine kills. Clancy and Reynolds combined for a total of 41 assists while Reynolds had three of the five services aces for the Lions.

Lindenwood drops to 5-1 on the year while No. 9 Augustana improves to 6-1. The Lions will close out the weekend with a doubleheader on Saturday with games at 11:30 a.m. against Illinois-Springfield and a 7 p.m. game against Missouri-St. Louis.
