Women's Hockey Heads West for Two-Game Series

Series Notes:
- The Lindenwood women's hockey team opens the 2018 calendar year with a two-game series at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. against the No. 10 St. Lawrence Saints. Puck drop is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. (pacific) on Friday evening, followed by a 12:00 p.m. start on Saturday afternoon.

- The two-game series in California marks the first set of games that Lindenwood has played outside of the NCAA footprint in its program history. Lindenwood has never before played a game in the pacific time zone.

- Lindenwood and St. Lawrence will be meeting for the first time in either program's history during the two-game series at Honda Center.

- Lindenwood has not faced an opponent from the ECAC since Oct. 14-15, 2011 during a two-game series versus Colgate in Hamilton, N.Y. The Lions hold an all-time record of 0-2-0 against teams from the ECAC.

Lindenwood Notes:
- Britannia Gillanders was selected as the CHA Player of the Week on Dec. 11. Gillanders netted two goals while also dishing out two assists during Lindenwood's two-game series at Minnesota State on Dec. 8-9.

- Kirsten Martin had the first multi-goal game of her career at Minnesota State on Dec. 9. Martin scored three goals in the two games against the Mavericks.

- With one goal and one assist during the series at Minnesota State, Taylor Girard extended her current point streak to five games.

- Girard leads Lindenwood with 11 goals and eight assists this season. Her 19 points are tied for the second-most in the CHA.

- Shannon Morris-Reade netted her second goal of the season on Dec. 8 at Minnesota State. Morris-Reade's goal gave her 36 points in her career, and moved her into a tie for 10th place on Lindenwood's all-time scoring list.

- Sierra Burt scored her fourth goal of the season at Minnesota State on Dec. 9. Burt is now tied with Hannah Alt and Cierra Paisley for second on the team in goals scored.

- Courtney Ganske registered her team-leading 11th assist of the season at Minnesota State on Dec. 8. Ganske is currently averaging 0.69 assists per game.

- Jolene deBruyn picked up her third win on the season at Minnesota State on Dec. 9. DeBruyn made 35 saves during the victory, her seventh game this season with at least 30 saves.

- Lindenwood is averaging 2.12 goals per game this season, the second-highest per game average in program history.
