Hoogendijk Ties Career Scoring Mark at Mercy

GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood junior forward Bridget Hoogendijk scored her 36th career goal in today's 4-1 win over Mercy. That goal ties her with Kristi O'Connor (2012-13) and Greta Banholzer (2014-17) for the Lindenwood career goals record. The victory moves No. 10 Lindenwood to 10-3 this season.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Freshman Pauline Terwindt opened the scoring in the 17th minute on a penalty stroke, her third goal of the season.
- Bridget Hoogendijk got her record-tying goal in the 30th minute off a deflection.
- Terwindt got on the board again in the 33rd minute with an assist from Noor Fons.
- In the 52nd minute Caro Theunisz ripped a shot from just inside the circle for her first goal of the season.
- Skylar Starbeck and Mackenzie Litterst split time in goal for the Lions. Starbeck started the contest and played 28 shutout minutes with two saves. Litterst played the remainder of the game, recording seven saves. 

UP NEXT
The Lions play the final two games of the 2018 regular season on the road. Lindenwood takes on Bellarmine in Louisville, Ky. on Oct. 26 before playing Queens College on Oct. 28, also in Louisville.
