Women's Basketball Overpowers UMSL 82-66

GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood women's basketball gathered 60 points in the paint to overpower GLVC foe UMSL 82-66 at Hyland Arena. The win moves the Lions to 3-0 on the year.

In the first half, UMSL shot 5-9 from three (16-30 from the field), but Lindenwood maintained a 43-38 lead at the half. Defensively the Lions recorded five blocks and three steals in the first half. Out of halftime, Lindenwood made several adjustments, holding UMSL to 3-14 from beyond the arc in the second half. The Lions pounded the ball inside to the tune of 30 points in the paint, while holding the Tritons to six points in the paint in the second half. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Kallie Bildner scored 22 points on 11-12 shooting from the field. She also added seven rebounds and three assists.
- Lexie Moe was 6-11 from the field for 13 points.
- Charisse Williams scored 12 points in 21 minutes played while grabbing four rebounds.
- Lindsay Medlen scored nine points with three assists and four rebounds. 
- As a team, the Lions out-scored UMSL 60-26 in the paint.
- Lindenwood shot 17-31 (54.8%) in the first half and improved to 16-26 (61.5%) in the second half to shoot 33-57 (57.9%) for the contest. 
- The Lions forced the Tritons into 16 turnovers in the game.
