GAME OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood women's hockey team (2-7-2) tied St. Cloud State (4-8-1) by a 2-2 final at Lindenwood Ice Arena in Wentzville, Mo.
 
The Huskies jumped on the board near the end of the first period to take at 1-0 lead.  Both teams had a chance on the power play and the Lions won 10-of-14 in the faceoff dot as they were knocking on the door.  Lindenwood powered through the Huskies in the second frame after posting 12 shots on goal to just two for St. Cloud State.  Nicole Guagliardo knocked in a shot from short range to tie the game at 1-1 at the 15:59 mark of the second period.
 
Lindenwood continued to be strong on the puck in the early part of the third period as Jada Burke tipped a shot by Alexandra Larson that got past the goalie for the 2-1 lead for the Lions.  St. Cloud State immediately put a stop to the momentum and tied the game less than two minutes later.  The two teams fought till the final buzzer of the third period, while the physicality picked up in the extra period.  Both squads were a combined 0-9 on the power play in the contest as the game ended in a 2-2 tie.

Lindenwood (2-7-2) will take on St. Cloud State at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Lindenwood Ice Arena in Wentzville, Mo.  The Lions will have a ceremonial puck drop prior to the start of the game and the team will hold a free skate after the game.
