Men's Basketball Begins Four-Game Homestand on Wednesday

Things to Know
• The Lindenwood men's basketball team will begin a season-long four-game homestand on Wednesday evening at 5:00 p.m. The Lions will host Judson from Hyland Arena in their final game of 2018.

• Lindenwood has played just two of its first 13 games inside Hyland Arena this season. The Lions are undefeated on their home court, and have not played a home game since Nov. 23 against Culver-Stockton.

• Wednesday's matchup between Lindenwood and Judson will be the second meeting all-time between the two teams, and the first since the 1985-86 season. Judson won the only previous matchup, 64-59.

• Lindenwood has faced five nationally-ranked opponents away from Hyland Arena this season. including three road games and two neutral site contests. The Lions have lost three of those five matchups by single-digit margins.

• In its last game at No. 10 Florida Southern on Dec, 15, Lindenwood outshot and outrebounded the tenth-ranked Mocs, but were unable to withstand a second-half push from the home team, ultimately falling by a final score of 99-91.

Lindenwood Notes
• Brad Newman and Chandler Diekvoss each posted 21-point performances at No. 10 Florida Southern on Dec. 15 to tie for the team-lead in scoring.

• Newman's 21-point effort was his fifth game this season with at least 20 points, and the eighth time he has led the team in scoring. Newman was 5-of-10 from the field against No. 10 Florida Southern.

• Newman connected on nine of his 10 free-throws at No. 10 Florida Southern, rasing his season average to 82.4 percent from the charity stripe. Newman ranks third on the team in free-throw percentage, behind Chris King (89.5 percent) and Adam Pohlman (84.0 percent).

• Newman has 977 points in his career at Lindenwood, and is just 23 points shy of becoming the 13th Lion in program history to join the 1,000-point club.

• Diekvoss was 8-of-11 from the field against No. 10 Florida Southern, his third game this season with at least 20 points. Diekvoss is shooting a career-high 56.9 percent from the field so far this season.

• Diekvoss led Lindenwood in rebounds for the fourth time this year, grabbing 11 boards en route to the 11th double-double of his career.

• Pohlman had a season-high 20 points for Lindenwood, while shooting 7-of-11 from the field. Pohlman made a career-high four three-pointers in the game, and finished just two points shy of his career-high.

• Pohlman led the team in assists with five, the ninth time he has led the team in that category this season,

• Pohlman ranks sixth in NCAA Division II and third in the MIAA with a 3.80 assist-to-turnover ratio.

• Diego Womack set a new career-high with 16 points at No. 10 Florida Southern. Womack was 7-of-11 from the field, and raised his team-leading field goal percentage for the season to 58.8 percent.

• For Womack, the 16-point effort marked his seventh game this season with at least 10 points. Womack has reached double-digit points in seven of his last 10 games.

• Lindenwood had one of its best single-game shooting performances of the season on Dec. 15, shooting 55.4 percent from the field (31-of-56 FG). It was the third time this season that the Lions shot above 55 percent for a single game.

• For just the second time in eight such games this season, Lindenwood suffered a loss when outrebounding its opponent. The Lions held a 34-32 advantage in rebounding at No. 10 Florida Southern.

• Lindenwood continues to shoot the ball well from the free-throw line, posting their fifth straight game shooting over 75 percent on Dec. 15 when they hit on 20-of-26.

• The Lions have knocked down 62-of-77 free throws during that five-game stretch (80.5 percent).

Scouting the Competition
• Judson enters Wednesday's matchup with a 3-11 record, and a 1-6 mark from within the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

• However, the Eagles have won their last two regular season games, and are averaging 100 points of offense per game during the two victories.

• In its most recent game on Dec. 15, Judson posted a 112-104 overtime victory at Indiana University-South Bend. The Eagles were led in the game by a 37-point performance from Taylor Boley.

• Boley leads the team in scoring this season, averaging 16.6 points per game. KC Earls and Bryce Prochaska are just behin Boley in scoring, averaging 14.4 and 14.3 points per game, respectively.

• Prochaska is averaging 7.1 rebounds per game to lead Judson in rebounding.

• Judson is 2-6 during road games this season.

• The Eagles are slated to play an exhibtion contest at NCAA Division II Purdue Northwest on Dec. 18 at 5:00 p.m.
