OVERVIEW
Lindenwood softball exploded for 24 runs in a two-game sweep of Emporia State. The Lions defeated the Hornets 7-1 in the first game and 17-5 in game two. Stormee Galka paced the LWU offense with five hits, including a double and a triple. She posted a .714 batting average and a 1.143 slugging percentage while scoring four runs with three RBIs. The Lions are now 16-12 on the season with a 5-5 ledger in MIAA action.

NOTABLE
- In addition to Galka, the Lions had three players hit .600 for the series: Megan Clark, Hannah Johnson and Marina Esparza.
- Johnson hit a double in the game, her 10th of the season.
- Austine Pauley had a home run in the sixth inning of game one, her second of the season.
- Hanna Porter was 2-5 with a pair of walks drawn. She extended her on-base streak to 14 games. 
- As a team, the Lions hit .453 with a .604 slugging percentage and a .492 on-base percentage. They also were 2-2 in stolen bases. 
- Every Lion starter had at least one hit, one run and two RBIs in the series. 
- Esparza picked up the win in game one, throwing a complete game with one run scored, four hits allowed and four strikeouts. She held the Hornets to a .174 batting average.
