The Lindenwood baseball team handed Pittsburg State its first conference loss with a 7-2 win over the Gorillas on Sunday afternoon in Pittsburg, Kan.

Tyler Cassmeyer was dominant on the bump for the Lions as he allowed just two runs in seven innings and tallied seven strikeouts. After the Gorillas tallied a run in the first inning,
Wes Degener put the Lions ahead 2-1 after a two-RBI single in the top of the second. Â
DJ Miller belted a home run with two outs to extend the lead to 4-1. Pittsburg State scored its second run in the third, but the Lions took over from there.
