Kyle Hentis Dominant in 10-2 Victory Over No. 18 Central Missouri

The Lindenwood baseball team upset No. 18 Central Missouri by a final of 10-2 on Tuesday night helping head coach Doug Bletcher earn his 700th-career win at the Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles, Mo.

Game Overview: Lindenwood 10, No. 18 Central Missouri 2
The Lions avoided a big inning in the third after the Mules scored just one run before ending the inning on a play at the plate.  Rayce Singbush hustled out of the box and reached third base on a fielding error by the right fielder.  Singbush later scored to tie the game at 1-1 after three innings of play.  Lindenwood put together a big fourth inning that consisted of an RBI single by Ian Nelson and a two-RBI double to right center by Vince Saladino.  Nick Paulda singled through the right side of the infield to put the Lions ahead 5-1.

The Mules got a run back in the top of the fifth, but the speed of Saladino again gave Lindenwood a four-run lead after six innings.  The Lions poured on more runs in the bottom of the seventh with the help of a two-RBI double by Conor Behrens and two wild pitches by the Mules pitching staff.  Kyle Hentis powered his way to a save after tossing the final three innings and registering seven strikeouts.
