The Lindenwood men's lacrosse team ended its home season on Saturday afternoon with a 17-4 victory over Maryville in Hunter Stadium.
The Lions, who will end the season with a 5-2 record at home, controlled action throughout the game. Lindenwood had a 43-19 advantage in shots, including a 25-11 edge in shots on goal. Lindenwood also had a +9 margin in turnovers, and a +6 advantage in groundballs.
Ten different players scored for Lindenwood, led by
Colin Domek who had three goals and also assisted on two scores.
Leonard Jones,
Andrew Fanizzi,
Sam Heaton,
Sean Darroch, and
Garrett Brunsvold all had two goals. Heaton also assisted on two scores.
Connor Ciemiewicz earned the victory in goal, allowing just one goal in the first half.
Max Troha and Domek each had a team-high four groundballs, and
Jake Moran led the team with two caused turnovers.
Lindenwood improves to 6-6 on the year. The Lions will end the 2017 campaign on May 5 at Belmont Abbey.
