MATCH OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood women's soccer team dropped its match by a final score of 3-1 on Friday evening from Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo. With the loss, Lindenwood moves to 2-2-1 on the season.
After a scoreless first half, Missouri Western broke the scoreless tie in the 65th minute of the match, taking a 1-0 lead. The Griffons extended their lead to two goals with a score in the 74th minute.
Olivia Callipari got Lindenwood within one goal of Missouri Western, scoring her second goal of the season in the 86th minute.
Jordan Wipke and
Morgan Weller picked up the assists on Callipari's goal. Wipke delivered a corner kick into the goal box, which was directed by Weller to Callipari, who then sent the ball into the back of the net.
Just 77 seconds later, Missouri Western regained its two-goal lead, bringing the match to its final score of 3-1.
