GAME OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood women's hockey team nearly pulled off the upset over No. 2 Wisconsin on Friday night in Madison, Wis. The Lions (0-1-0) had a 2-1 lead in the second period, but the Badgers (1-0-0) rallied to close out the 3-2 win over Lindenwood.

Hannah Alt scored the first goal of the season to put the Lions up 1-0 over the Badgers. The goal came with eight minutes remaining in the opening period and was assisted by
Megan Wagner. Wisconsin tied the game with less than one minute remaining in the period to halt the momentum of the Lions.

Lindenwood scored its second goal after an errant pass by the Badgers.Â
Courtney Ganske was credited with the second goal as the Lions took a 2-1 lead early in the second period. Wisconsin tied the game up a less than five minutes later and took the lead near the halfway point of the second frame. Neither team scored in the third and the Badgers held off the Lions in a 3-2 win to open the season.
