MATCH OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood men's volleyball team came out of the gates strong, forcing #2 UCLA to a 26-24 opening set, but ultimately fell to the Bruins, 3-0. The defeat drops the Lions to 0-2 on the year.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Charley Hlavin once again led the team in kills (12) while also hitting .417 with four digs and an ace.
- Connor Hipelius was a perfect 3-for-3 on attacks, but excelled on the defensive side of the net, recording six blocks (two solo). 
- Hipelius also notched two aces. He has a team-leading five aces so far this season.
- Diego Negron recorded six kills and seven digs. He also added two blocks and an ace.
- Sam Schindler led the team with three aces and also had four blocks.
- Setter Adam Brewster had 24 assists against the Bruins.

The Lions travel to Nashville, Tenn. for the Grow the Game Challenge. Lindenwood won the tournament last season. The Lions open play on Jan. 18 when they take on Limestone at 11:30 a.m. (CT).
