GAME OVERVIEW
A hat trick from Bridget Hoogendijk propelled the Lions to an overtime thriller against Bellarmine. After two scoreless overtime sessions, the game went to a shootout. The Lions capitalized on all three chances they were given and goalie Mackenzie Litterst stopped three of four attempts to solidify the win for Lindenwood. The Lions rise to 8-5 overall this season.

LINDENWOOD SCORING SUMMARY
17:59 - Bridget Hoogendijk tied the game after an early Bellarmine goal. She took on the Knights' defense by dribbling into the circle and ripping her shot from the top of the circle.
24:45 - Bellarmine regained the lead at 24:35, but Hoogendijk responded 10 seconds later, dribbling down field and finishing on her own. 
58:01 - Hoogendijk tied the game late with the assist from Isabella Shannon.
SO - Pauline Terwindt, Caro Theunisz and Izzy Folan all scored in their shootout attempts.

NOTABLE
- The hat trick was Hoogendijk's first of the season. The senior now has 12 goals this season, fifth-most in NCAA Division II. 
- With 12 goals, Hoogendijk has surpassed double-digit goals for the third consecutive season. No other Lion has ever achieved that feat. 
- Hoogendijk also led the Lions with nine shots (six on goal).
- Jessie Londono, Shelby Pierson and Caro Theunisz each had a shot on goal in the contest.
- Mackenzie Litterst played 77:33 in goal, notching seven saves.

The Lions play a pair of games in Pennsylvania next weekend. Lindenwood travels to Indiana (Pa.) on Oct. 24 before taking on Seton Hill on Oct. 25.
