The Lindenwood football team (4-3, 3-0 GLVC) will head to Quincy, Ill. on Saturday to take on Quincy (3-4, 1-3 GLVC) at 1:00 p.m. The Lions and Hawks will meet for the first time in 2019.
Lindenwood is coming off a 35-31 win over Saginaw Valley last weekend, the second-straight game with the go-ahead touchdown in the final minute of the game.
Cade Brister found
Najee Jackson on fourth-and-10 for the final touchdown of the game with six seconds left in the game.
The Lions earned their third-straight victory, the first time the program has done so since the 2012 season. Lindenwood now have three home wins this year, also a first since the 2012 season when the Lions won four times at Hunter Stadium.
Brister is having a strong sophomore season, ranking third in the country with 22 touchdown passes. Brister has found
Payton Rose for nine touchdowns, ranking sixth in NCAA Division II.
Drew Seers has had a monster year at linebacker, ranking third in the nation with 12.4 tackles per game.
Ricky McCoy snagged two interceptions last week, brining his career total to nine. Rose has tied
Erik Henneman's season total from last year with nine touchdown receptions. In the last three games, Brister has thrown for 1,041 yards and 11 touchdowns. Henneman, Rose, and Jackson have combined for 700 yards and nine touchdowns in those three games.
