The Lindenwood women's hockey team (2-4-2, 0-0-0 CHA) will open up conference play this weekend as the Lions take on Mercyhurst (5-2-1, 2-0-0 CHA) in a two-game series. The Lions and Lakers will faceoff at 6:05 p.m. (5:05 p.m. central) on Friday night, and then at 3:05 p.m. (2:05 p.m central) on Saturday in Erie, Pa.
Lindenwood is coming off a 0-1-1 record against No. 4 Clarkson last weekend, while Mercyhurst went 1-1-0 last weekend with a 4-1 loss to Minnesota Duluth and a 3-1 win over Connecticut.
The Lakers swept RIT in their first CHA action this season just two weeks ago. The Lions are 2-2-2 in their last six games, picking up wins over Bemidji State and Union earlier in October.
The Lions and Lakers will faceoff for the 34th time on Friday. Lindenwood is 6-26-1 against Mercyhurst since the two teams began play in 2011. The most recent Lindenwood victory came on November 3, 2018 in a 4-1 win in Wentzville, Mo.

Hannah Alt has scored two goals to lead the squad, while 11 different players have notched at least one point this season.
Annika Asplundh is posting a .926 save percentage with a 2.82 goals against average in her sophomore season.

Shelley Looney will be inducted into the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame on Saturday. Looney won the 1998 Olympic Gold with Team USA, after scoring the game-winning goal against Canada in the gold medal game.
