LINDENWOOD NOTES:
- Lindenwood opens the 2019-20 regular season with a familiar foe: former conference rival Pittsburg State. The Lions will take part in their first game of the regular season, but have played two exhibition contests this season. Lindenwood played Illinois State and Eastern Illinois to start the season. Pittsburg State has already played two games this season, going 1-1.
- Lindenwood returns two starters from last year's team that went 21-8, advancing to the Central Regional for the second consecutive season. Leading the returners is
Kallie Bildner, who led the MIAA in points, rebounds and shooting percentage. Also returning is starting point guard
Lindsay Medlen who tallied 90 assists a year ago.

Kallie Bildner was named the first Academic All-American in Lindenwood women's basketball history during the 2018-19 season.
- Lindenwood had three all-MIAA selections in 2018-19, led by first-team selection
Kallie Bildner. It was the first time the Lions have had a player named first-team all-MIAA and the three selections were the most ever selected for Lindenwood in the NCAA era.
- The 2018-19 Lions recorded 21 wins, surpassing the then-program-record 20 wins set in 2017-18. Additionally, the Lions 14 wins in conference play last year also are a program best.
- The 2018-19 Lions were sixth in NCAA DII in rebounding margin at 9.4 and 10th in field goal percentage at 47.0%, Individually,
Kallie Bildner was sixth in the NCAA in field goal percentage at 62.0%. She also is 16th in double-doubles with 16.
- The Lions are led by second-year head coach
Katie Falco. She joined Lindenwood after spending the previous 10 seasons as an assistant coach at NCAA DI South Dakota State.
PITTSBURG STATE NOTES:
- The Gorillas are 1-1 entering Hyland Arena, picking up a 96-78Â win over Oklahoma Baptist and a narrow 84-83 defeat to No. 20 SWOSU. Additionally, Pitt State played a pair of exhibition games, falling to Arkansas 97-63 and defeating Kansas 90-82.
- Pittsburg State used the same lineup in both games this year: Athena Alvarado, Kaylee DaMitz, Tristan Gegg, Meghan Maher and Maya Williams.
- Tristan Gegg leads the four Gorillas averaging double-figures with 28 points per game, scoring exactly 28 points in each of the first two games.
- Athena Alvarado averages 19.5 points and 15.5 rebounds per game. She scored 31 points with 20 rebounds against Oklahoma Baptist.
SERIES NOTES:
-The former conference rivals have played each other 11 times with Pitt State holding the 8-3 edge. However, the Lions have won the past two meetings.

Kallie Bildner has scored 89 points in five games against the Gorillas, more than any other Lion in program history.
- Bildner also has 54 career boards against PSU, while
Lindsay Medlen has 15 assists and seven steals.
