The Lindenwood football team (7-3, 6-0 GLVC) will take on Southwest Baptist (3-7, 1-5 GLVC) in the final game of the regular season on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in Bolivar, Mo.

The Lions are coming off a thrilling 37-31 victory over Missouri S&T in overtime last week.  Lindenwood earned at least a share of the conference title with the win last week, and will hope to win the GLVC Championship outright with a victory this Saturday.

Cade Brister and Drew Harlow led the Lions to its sixth conference win this season, as both were named GLVC Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.  Brister had just 187 passing yards, but ran for a career-high 143 yards on the ground.

Brister compiled five total touchdowns, including the game-winning touchdown pass in overtime.  Harlow was a force from the first drive, making 11 stops, including four solo.  The Park Hills, Mo. native had a strip sack on the first defensive drive, leading to a Lindenwood touchdown.

The Lions rank fifth in NCAA Division II with 324.3 passing yard per game.  Brister is third in the country with 33 passing touchdowns, while his primary target Payton Rose ranks third in the nation with 14 receiving touchdowns.

Lindenwood is currently ranked ninth in Super Region Three, as the top seven teams from each of the four regions will advance to the NCAA Division II Playoffs.  The Lions have not appeared in a postseason game since playing in the Mineral Water Bowl in 2012.  Lindenwood has yet to make an appearance in the playoffs since joining the NCAA.
