The Lindenwood football team (8-3, 7-0 GLVC) will head to Arkadelphia, Ark. as the seventh seed in the NCAA Division II Super Region Three to take on No. 5 Ouachita Baptist (11-0, 11-0 GAC) who is the second seed in the region.  The Lions and Tigers will kickoff at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday in the first round of the NCAA Division II Football Playoffs.
Lindenwood will make its first appearance in the playoffs as members of the NCAA, and its first postseason game since 2012.  The Lions swept the GLVC this season, earning the GLVC Championship in their first season in the league.
Ouachita Baptist is coming off an emotional 24-21 win over longtime rival Henderson State last week.  Like the Lions, the Tigers went perfect in conference play, winning the GAC for the third-straight season.
The Lions are led offensively by
Cade Brister who has set a new school record for total offensive yards in a season with 3,746.  Brister is tied with Lindenwood Hall of Famer, Philip Staback in touchdown passes (36) and total touchdowns responsible for (42).
Drew Seers is having a monster season, compiling 154 tackles to bring him within 30 tackles of the single-season school record set by Connor Harris in 2015.  Seers has tied his own career-high of 12.5 tackles for loss, and is nearing the school record for assisted tackles in a season with his 92 on the year.
Lindenwood will look for its first postseason victory since defeating Carroll College in the semifinal game of the 2009 NAIA Football Championship Series.
